Specializing in full service applications of slab and large-format dimensional stone Clemenco Granite and Marble offers consultation in the selection of stone appropriate to specific projects.

Initial determination of quantities and sources ensures availability of stone within required time-frames. Pre- selection of stone with careful consideration of accurate milling, consistency in grain, coloring and surface finish assures a high degree of perfection in a finished installation.

Mr. Clemenco combines an eye for the sorting and matching of varieties of stone with a commitment to the highest standard of workmanship in fabrication and installation.

Stone cutting and shaping are taken from exact templates and careful measurements, providing tightly fit and exceptionally flat surfaces with attention to pattern and veining in the material.

This approach requires time and patience. For 25 years Mr. Clemenco has developed an approach to working with stone informed by a modernist sensibility and extensive experience in a wide range of architectural settings.

Bio

Mr. Clemenco studied with Australian architect Donald Gray in Andalusia, Spain, in the early 1980’s. His training led to stone masonry workshops in northern New Mexico with Tomas Lipps and George Gonzales, two of the most renowned dry stack stone masons in the world. In 1986 Clemenco began an apprenticeship under master marble mason Michael Skeels, later working as a fabricator in one of the oldest marble shops in San Francisco. Since 1988 Clemenco has been working as an independent licensed contractor primarily in San Francisco and Marin counties. Working on high-end renovations of historic San Francisco properties and contemporary architectural buildings, Clemenco has specified beautiful and appropriate stone for these interiors.
